About The Denver Art Museum

The Denver Art Museum is the perfect place to go to learn more about the artistic culture of Denver, Colorado. This wonderful museum is known for featuring many wonderful exhibits with many different themes, and for being home to some of the most iconic collections in the state. Some exhibits that are currently being featured are Stampede, Eyes On, and Ganesha. The first two exhibitions focus on animals in artwork, as well as the American Indian method of storytelling through artwork and performance. The last of those listed above showcases a statue of the god Ganesh which was featured in the National Museum of Cambodia, which was created between 600 and 700 A.D. Here in the Denver Art Museum, guests are bound to learn about both the histories and cultures the artwork represents, making each visit here educational as well as inspirational. 

Plenty of events are hosted at the Denver Art Museum, such as the Drop-In Drawing Program offered every second Tuesday of the month. This program allows guests to receive a lecture in the art of sketching, and all are encouraged to bring with them a sketchpad and pencils to practice their art while receiving the lesson. Free First Saturdays is also a popular event to attend, as general admission into the museum is free every first Saturday of the month.
